Open Letter

Dear Employment Gods,

I know that I have made some mistakes in my rather extensive employment career, but I think it sucks right now that the job market in the greater Seattle area bites ass. It is not fair, and I wish that you could get off your ass and grant me a super fabulous job.

There are but so many Yahoo! Canasta games one can play, there are but so much pictures one can take of the stupid Dog, there are but so much cooking one can do in a day for one's boyfriend.

Please dear Gods, of which I know there are many, please grant the person calling me Monday morning especially good moods. For this is the job that I want, this is the company that I want to work for, and please let my phone interview go well with them. Please, to show my good intentions, I will not ridicule the dog for one whole day. And, I promise I will be a good little employee and keep my opinions to myself. And, I promise not to blog about the company nor co-workers. Please, Please, Please.

Thank you,
Jobless in Seattle.

PS: Nick will thank you too, for he is tiring of being my SugaDaddy.

Flickr-ing

I finally got around to uploading some of the pics to Flickr....then I exceeded the upload limit. Dangnabit.

Check em out.

Mac done Right

Last night was the first time I've been outside in a long time. We went to Ranch 99, this asian supermarket that has the weirdest things known to man. We found agar and about 20 different types of mushrooms, all dried. Even a dried squid. I wish I'd brought my camera.

After we came home, Nick helped me make this version of Mac & Cheese,
it was friggin' unbelievable! It was so good, and after two weeks of drinking all types of soup imaginable, I was ready for solid foods again.

My boyfriend's gone

Yep, you read that right. He's gone into the World of Warcraft. He spends all hours on that game, and I never see him anymore. It maybe just as well because I've been just a big baby with this whole flu/cold/dying thing. I feel like my head weighs 20 tons.

The antibiotics didn't work and I'm not getting any better. I knew they weren't going to work.

When I had some time, I tried uploading to Flickr but my patience ran thin and I abandoned it.

Being Sick

So, Nick felt guilty I'm sure for bringing the plague home to me. He brought me flowers to cheer me up. They're lovely and don't smell ... which is good because I can't smell nor taste a thing. If a scent does get back, I get nauseous and wanna hurl. It's been simply lovely.

All I know is that this better go away soon. I've got a job interview on Saturday and I can't go in like this. Snot running out of every orifice.

Next Up, a Transplanted Lung!

Ok, so the chick that got the face transplant decides to start smoking again. WHAT?? All that work, what it means to science, all of that, going down the drain because she couldn't kick a nicotine habit?

Sorry, I have a really negative attitude towards smokers.

Help!

I'm sick. Sick again, just when I was congratulating myself on not being sick this season. The boy brought the plague home and since I sleep with him, I got the plague too. My throat's on fire, my head's spinning and what even sucks the most, he can get meds because he has medical insurance ... but I cannot.

I hate being jobless without medical insurance.

This time around, I think I'm just going to curl up and die in the corner.

Friday 13th

It's been raining for 26 days straight ... I'm ready to take a mallet to my skull. It's dark, dreary and driving is trecherous.

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Last night instead of uploading pictures, I spent a good part of the night changing all my passwords to all the sites I go to. Simply because, being on my former work computer for nearly two years, I had everything saved on it. Now, I realize that the IT guys have access to that computer and I don't want any dickwad to do anything to my accounts. Not that they would, but I'm a parnoid little shit like that.

Also, I did 45 minutes on the threadmill and 15 minutes on the bike. I could barely walk this morning. Feel the burn baby.

Truckloads of Prozac Please

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. To the former coworker, no need to visit 10 times a day. I promise I won't update more than once or twice every three days, with the exeception of today. And that's only because I'm flipping nervous about which one of you is coming to read the sorrid details of my life.

I just hope it's not the blond chick with the big boobs.

*le sigh*

So, I've signed up to a Flickr account and this evening after busting my behind on the threadmill, I"ll upload the "Across the Country Pics"; also later I'll add the some other trips from 2005: the San Fran debacle, the rest of the Utah pictures and assorted madness along the way.

List Time (or Listlessness Time)

Ok, so today I'm making a list of all possible things I could be doing instead of sitting here wanting to poke my eyes out:

1. Exercising! I've gotten into a fit about getting fit, lost some weight, about 100000 lbs to go.
2. Doing my nails! Nick has gotten me cute polish (don't ask) and I want to use em.
3. Cleaning the house! It's not dirty, just lotsa dusting.
4. Bathing the dog! He, on the other hand, is quite dirty. Can't vaccum him no mo, he needs a bath.
5. Going to therapy! Let's face it, we all need some form of therapy.
6. Applying for more jobs! Ok, did that one yesterday, can't take more beating today. My psyche can't take it.
7. Booking a flight to Zimbabwe! Hmm, good hideaway location. I can be a tribal leader.
8. Completing my college application! Did that one yesterday, just have to write the personal statement.
9. Packing up unsed clothes! How else will I go to Zimbabwe if I don't travel light?
10. Sleep! Because, I woke up at 2:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep...

And that's it folks, I'll be curling up under my desk at about noon.

Awlful Day

So far today, I got paid to sit on my butt and apply to 10 jobs from Monster, 5 from HotJobs and currently surfing Career Builder. I also took an IQ test, showing once and for all, in the last two years, my mind has become mush.

Next up, catching up to my voicemail messages and bugging all my old friends. If you want me to give you a call, please let me know.

ARGH!

I think I'm going to apply for the Border Patrol Agent job. I'll be excellent at the border. These people think I'm fresh off some boat anyway.

Working Girl

First day at new job. Miss waking up at 11am and playing on the internet, but a girl has to earn moolah. Bills and all that rot.

UPDATE: It blows. That's all, it blows. It blows big monkey chunks. I can't check my email from this computer, I cannot do anything. My shoulder is all tense again. *sigh*

London's Calling

This set requires some explaining. We had an awlful time in the Chunnel, Nick thought it might be cool and didn't look for alternate means of getting from Paris to London. Well, the Chunnel is overpriced and we were stuck somewhere between the two places for over four hours. When I found out that flying would have been tons cheaper, I was a little miffed.

To make amends, he brought me the only flower he could find:

Our first view of London itself, how touristy:

This is Nick in the hotel looking all pissed at me because I was being stubborn:

After making up, we decided to go meet my good friend Neene. She was over there on a study abroad program:

We walked through Chinatown, London style:

And then had dinner with Neene and her posse:

The rest of these pictures were from our trip to Leeds Castle, the prettiest as they claim. Tons of pictures, but I only feel like posting these:

The day after Leeds, we explored around London with Neene. These are few in front and around Buckingham Palace:

And then, of course, the penis shot. In Amsterdam it was the national tower, in Paris, the effiel, and in London, Cleopatra's Needle:

More Amsterdam

Sorry these are so dark, it was taken with an old camera and I didn't have the patience to mess with each one in Photoshop. Bad me, I know. I posted that picture of the empty dishes because Nick and I talk often of going back to Amsterdamn just for that breakfast. Incredible teas, breads and jams. It was so effing good!

Great Heights

Technically, we live in Bothell, WA and so does this kid. Bloody great. I wish I had that drive.

Hope your New Year's went well. I'm working on some of the pictures from our trip last year. Here's one of them.
