doh!

Thanks to Bekah, I realized I'm a dork. Last week, I was messing with trying to fix the pop-up that appears on the site, and I thought it was some script within the random comments from the poker and erection pills comment spam. And, I disabled comments ... so now it's back up.

At least I can freely admit I'm a dork.

Yippie

I love it when I get good news in my mailbox. Kinda trumps yesterday afternoon where I spent over two hours working on a project in Visio and then didn't save it properly. I big Homer Simpson moment there. So, had to take it home and work on it.

But, later on that night, we got tickets for NY!!! I'm so happy. May 19th to the 29th.

Speechless

So, after being unemployed for three months, I finally land this gig and all's going well. I'm tackling Excel and making it my biatch. The commute sucks but oh well. Then, I got promoted? In a WEEK??

I knew I was hot shyte, but this takes the cake.

The official reason was that "I impressed everyone working with me."

Last Weekend

We started out with a drive up to the Cascade Mountain range, and as usual, I took a picture of Nick driving. I always do this because his concentration when he drives just makes me laugh:

Along the way, we saw this orchard of new fruit tress:

Our purpose in heading up there was to see some waterfalls, but the road was closed due to snow. Nick took some pictures of a roadside waterfall instead:

They don't call this the Evergreen State for nothing:

And, finally on Sunday, we had dinner with this little guy, the last time I saw him, he had just popped outta the oven.

Passwords

The problem with having 10 different passwords is that if you have them all saved to your main computer, you normally would have no troubles accessing different accounts. Then, you suddenly have a brand spanking new laptop because your boyfriend is simply the best or the most evilest person when he went to BestBuy and bought you a new 'puter ... and you don't remember any of your passwords. Added to that mess, you get a job which requires two different logins and now you really are confused and can't remember the right combo of passwords for anything.

I'm surprised I'm able to remember the one to access MovableType so that I can create this rather disoriented entry.

Work goes and I'm slowly making my enemy Excel my bitach. I hate Excel with a passion, but since 99% of my new job has to be done in spreadsheets, I have no choice but to use it EVERYDAY. Urgh, the pain.

In other news, my bestest friend is going through some rather tough getting-older-and-having-to-deal-with-grownup-issues this month. My heart goes out to her and I've been trying to talk to her daily through this very tough time. It's sad and I would want nothing more than to be in NY and be there for her. But, I can't and that kills me.

Sorry haven't posted pictures yet, I've gotten as far as uploading them to the main computer. I don't have much time at home anymore, I leave at 6:30 in the morning, return at about 6:30pm, walk the dog, make dinner, go workout and then passout. No WoW for me either.

Pop Me Up

So, it appears that my webstat tracker is causing the popups. The skitzo side of me won't allow myself to get rid of the webtracker, so you'll just have to live with it for now, until I figure out a solution.

In other news, we went up to the mountains this weekend and it was quite purty, I'll post the pictures soon enough.

Day Two of being employeed again and I'm just going to shut my mouth about my employment. It's not what I wanted, but I get a paycheck and that's all I'm concerned about.

Moods are improving.

Joby Job

Starting next week, guess who's going to start getting a paycheck every Friday again... GUESS WHO! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself.

La Cosa Nostra

We were able to peal ourselves away from the computer last night and watched the Sopranos. Holy Shit. What a difference a year makes. Since we got the televison again after months of not having on, Nick and I have watched the entire past seasons of the show to catch up ... don't know where the writers are going with it this final season, but should be interesting.

I'm not much of a televison watcher. Maggie has been telling me that I should rent the DVD of the first season of Lost and start watching it ... but I never have the diligence to stick to watching a once a week show.

Anywhoo... I while back I made a comment about Nick being addicted to World of Warcraft... turns out that it is an addictiing game for me as well. I built a human paladin and in the span of a month got to a higher level in the game than he did with his magic user. Needless to say, the boy's pissed.

Boogers

We've decided to sell Blaze.

Sell him as a paint stripper, because his farts could surely strip the paint off walls.

Stinky dog farts on Sunday mornings. Needless to say, still surviving.

May have gotten a job, don't want to jinx it yet tho. :-)
