It's official, I must be the second most clueless person in the US. Second only to Dubya that is.
Maybe it's my not wanting to see things that are right infront of my face, maybe it's subconscious, maybe it's just my crazy mentality.
Things that suck about the new job:
1. it's freezing all the time and I'm constantly cold
2. I can't access my personal email from their computers
3. I can't make personal phone calls to my 100,000 friends
Things that I think are fabulous about the new job:
1. 100% tution reimbursement for ANY class, as long as you get a "C"
2. it's a 15 minute drive away, which means I can go home for a nooner
3. 100% tution reimbursement (I'm really happy about this)
4. so far, everyone's really ... happy ... and friendly
5. I know what I'm doing ... sorta ... but hey, I learn fast
6. this boss lady isn't a raging hormonal biatch, or at least I haven't seen that yet
7. vending machines are free (not that it matters, but I'm trying to make a point here)
8. I get paid more than my last gig, but less than the gig before the last gig ... but it's still more so this is a "pro"
In this case, I think the good outweighs the bad ... don't you think so?
The problem with being unhappy is that unless you (ie. me) choose to be happy, you're never going to get there.
I had something deeper to say, I promise ... I just forgot what it was because my damn brain's melting in the heatwave that we've been having.
First day at new job and there was a fire alarm which prompted everyone to casually stroll out of the building and stand in the hottest parking lot known to man. I was literally melting and my carefully applied makeup was in bad shape when it was time to head back in. Oddly enough, they'd cranked the AC so high that minutes before this I had goosebumps because it was so darn frigid. Nipply if you must.
My best friend says that I need major amounts of therapy. I tend to disagree with her.
I made the mistake of watching the Today Show this morning ... fires in AZ, floods in TX, more killed in Iraq. The Iranians are going crazy with bombs and nuclear stuff.
The Japanese withdrew their 600 tropps from Iraq... Japan has troops?!?
The world is going to hell folks.
But, on the bright side of things, BEKAH's PREGNANT!!! Congrats m'dear, I hope it's a girl as beautiful as you are and as charming as Mark is.
1. That the best jeans for me are named "Long & Lean" - the irony never fails
2. That I'm still in WA state
3. That there are such evil people in this world
4. That I refuse to allow things to lay and make myself unhappy.
5. That morning radio is so damn dumb
6. That there are so many damn popups on this site.
That is all... I'm feeling the writing bug again and I'll be posting more to this here thingy.
So, today I am 28 years old.
And I cannot believe so much could have gone wrong in such a short period of time.
