Cali
So, out of the pictures I took of the California trip, only a few I choose to show here ... 41 to be exact. I put the first 10 here and the rest in the "show more" section only because it will kill the load time for the site if I put all 41.
Nick had bought a new videocamera so I was busy operating that and didn't have enough time with my camera, but oh boy do I wish I could put the video on here. It was such a fun and yet nerve-wracking time on that trail we went to.
Heading out, he's not really upset, he just has his "serious driving face" on.
Long stretches of highway.
Cows in fields, I swear Oregon is just one long farmland.
Supersized Dog, he kept on looking at me the entire time I was taking his picture.
Only in Oregon can you find a 30 feet talk Blackbird ... it's outside some store.
Finally!
I love it when mountains just appear out of nowhere ... especially right before seeing a sign for "Weed".
This is actually Day 2, we had already picked up the softtop and were heading to a small town called Red Bluff because Nick found some 4-wheeling trails there.
Jackrabbit! He ran away after we terrified the crap out of him.
Feet! This was a makeshift path across a river of sorts. It was so peaceful and after a really long, really hot day in the desert, it was good to dip my aching toes in the very cold water. I actually got out and was walking in it.
Bambi! There was mother and her fawn ... can't remember if this is the mother or the baby. You'd think it would have been obvious.
Yeah! We didn't kill each other!
We made a special detour so that he could take a picture of the Weed sign with his Amsterdam tee-shirt. There was a police officer that drove by several times.
Long arse trip up a mountain and down the other side to see the Pacific...
Only shot that was decent of the Pacific because we realized how absolutely late we were and at this point he was driving like mad to get back home. We didn't make it on time and we both missed work the day as a result. doh!

Some truly beautiful pictures. The nature scenes are purely stunning -- they make me want to go out and explore. Wonderful stuff!

There must be a reason why you call yourself crazy ... I said that I was going to post only the first 10 ... and in the extended post I was going to put the rest. Boogers.
Thank you Alissa and Trevor! If ya'll ever need someplace to stay on the west coast, I've got a guest room.
